What can we do to live in our homes as long as possible? AARP’s HomeFit program provides some great recommendations. AARP volunteer Dr. Ellie Meyer will present and answer questions on the topic.
About the Speaker:
Dr. Ellie Meyer most recently developed the fieldwork component to the University of Vermont’s Doctorate in Occupational Therapy program. She has more than 30 years of clinical experience as an occupational therapist covering both pediatric and geriatric populations. Dr. Meyer is a Certified Aging in Place Specialist with the National Association of Home Builders and has an Executive Certificate in Home Modifications from the University of Southern California. She is a founding member of Home Modification Occupational Therapy Alliance (HMOTA) which seeks to promote the role of occupational therapy in home modifications. Ellie lives with her husband, a custom builder of modern homes, in Weston.
