BEACON HILL VILLAGE STAFF

Melissa Interess

Melissa Interess, Executive Director

[email protected]

Melissa started her career in the fields of marketing and technology consulting. Very quickly she realized that helping companies make more money wasn’t the right path for her. Melissa then obtained her Masters degree in Social Work in 2005, with a commitment to helping people. She has been working in the field of aging services for the better part of the last 18 years. Melissa has extensive experience in community-based services and working with at-risk populations. Her areas of interest include mental health, racial and social equity, housing, aging in place, and caregiving. In her free time, Melissa enjoys working out, listening to podcasts, and watching her two active daughters play soccer.

Jane Bergman

Jane Bergman, Bookkeeper

[email protected]

Jane grew up in CT and earned a B.A. from Wellesley College and an M.B.A from Boston University, and then worked in technology support for financial services companies. After her twins graduated from high school, it was time for a career change. Jane started at Beacon Hill Village as a driver, and eventually worked privately for several BHV Members helping with a variety of needs including bookkeeping and technology support, bringing her career skills back full circle. Now as the BHV bookkeeper, Jane feels she has the best of all worlds, being able to contribute to the wider BHV community. When she's not balancing the books and reconciling bank statements, Jane enjoys living along the Charles River in Waltham, where there are many miles of Greenway paths to walk with her dog.

She moved to Boston in 2017 to attend Suffolk University where she completed her BA in History and Law. Sabrina has experience working at museums like Old North Church and the Charles Dickens Museum. In her free time, you will likely find her listening to an audiobook or watching a documentary about a castle.

She loves being able to walk to work every day and interacting with all the wonderful members of BHV. When she has some down time, she enjoys baking, cooking, reading, listening to music and exploring the world.
Jen has two grown children, and a cat named Luna.
