Beacon Hill Village welcomes Berklee College of Music professor, Alexander Ludwig, Ph.D. to present on the history of film music. While he teaches many courses of the history of music his main focus is the history of film music. Alexander Ludwig published a book on the subject titled Hearing Death at the Movies: Film Music and the Long History of the Dies Irae. This event will take place in the West End Museum's screening room and Alexander will be providing audio and visual aids on the history of film music begging from the silent period through to present day.
This event begins at 5:30 pm with a half hour of refreshments and socializing. The speaker will begin at 6:00 pm.
Free for BHV members and West End Museum members. $20 for non members. Hosted at the West End Museum. In-person only.
