Americans suffer from an epidemic of both insufficient and poor-quality sleep, an epidemic that poses unique challenges for older adults. Join Dr. Rebecca Robbins –researcher, educator and author – as she pulls back the covers on what happens in the brain and body when we sleep. She will also debunk common myths about sleep and script steps to sleep success. After her presentation Dr. Robbins will welcome your questions.
Dr. Rebecca Robbins is an Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School and an Associate Scientist at the Brigham and Women's Hospital. In her research, published in numerous peer reviewed journals, Dr. Robbins explores the relationship between sleep and our daytime success, and she designs novel behavioral interventions to nudge and navigate people, patients, and communities toward better sleep health. She is also the co-author of Sleep for Success! and has made frequent appearances on The Today Show, Live! With Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest, and Good Morning America.
This Zoom webinar is part of Beacon Hill Village’s Living Well Ending Well series presented in partnership with the Boston Public Library. Registration required.
