END OF THE SEASON: CONVERSATIONS WITH...
'Conversations With...' is a recurring speaker series where we invite experts in their field to discuss their experiences with the members of Beacon Hill Village. For our final event before the summer break we are inviting members of the public to join us for our discussion with the President of the Boston Public Library David Leonard, who has been president of the Boston Public Library since 2016.
David's background spans academia, the non-profit sector, and more than a
decade of private IT consulting, counseling clients about business development,
management, and technology. He is currently enrolled in the PhD program in
Library Information Science at Simmons College and holds degrees in Philosophy
and Mathematics from University College Dublin.
David was instrumental in helping the West End and Beacon Hill add
affordable housing, pairing the Boston Public Library’s new, two-story West End
Branch Library with 12 stories above containing 119 new apartments.
Our End-of-The-Season 'Conversations With...' will take place in-person on Monday, May 20 at 5:30 p.m. in the first-floor Commonwealth Salon in the McKim Building at the Central Library in Copley Square.
Light refreshments will be served from 5:30-6:00 and the speaker will begin closer to 6:00 pm. There will be an opportunity for questions at the end.
